So when a daughter tells me her mother is having a hard time with the house, I am not imagining what that is like. I am in the middle of it at my own kitchen table, with my own parents, sorting through the same decisions.
I have been a Realtor in the Triad for 17 years and I hold the SRES designation, the Seniors Real Estate Specialist credential. Most of my work now is with two kinds of families. Empty nesters selling in the $300,000 to $500,000 range and buying something on one level, usually newer and nicer, in the $400,000 to $550,000 range. And adult children handling a parent's sale while the parent settles into retirement living.
I work in Kernersville, High Point, Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Colfax, and Oak Ridge, across Guilford, Forsyth, and Davidson counties. I know these neighborhoods and I know the people who work on these houses.
